Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy, prioritization, and ongoing evolution of a growing portfolio of internally developed applications. This role will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, users, development teams, leadership, and third-party partners to ensure products are aligned with business needs and deliver measurable value.

This is an opportunity to join an evolving product management function and have a meaningful impact on how products are managed across the organization. In addition to owning roadmaps, backlogs, enhancements, and post-launch product strategy, this individual will help establish scalable product management processes, frameworks, and best practices.

The ideal candidate brings experience managing multiple products within a large, complex organization and is comfortable moving between strategic product planning and hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Portfolio Management

  • Own and manage product roadmaps, backlogs, enhancements, and priorities across a portfolio of internally developed applications.
  • Develop product strategies aligned with business objectives, operational needs, and employee experience.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on post-launch ownership, adoption, enhancement, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and prioritize initiatives based on business value, user impact, organizational priorities, effort, and available resources.
  • Partner with development teams to translate business needs into clearly defined and actionable product requirements.
  • Monitor product performance and identify opportunities to improve adoption, functionality, efficiency, and overall user experience.
  • Balance priorities across multiple products and stakeholder groups within a complex enterprise environment.

Business & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, operational teams, power users, development teams, and other key stakeholders.
  • Engage directly with users to understand business challenges, workflows, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Gather, quantify, document, and communicate business requirements to technical teams.
  • Translate business problems into practical product solutions and development initiatives.
  • Facilitate prioritization discussions and communicate product decisions, tradeoffs, and expected business impact.
  • Serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and development teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and external partners as needed.

Product Management Process & Maturity

  • Help scale and mature the organization's product management capabilities as the portfolio of internally developed applications continues to grow.
  • Evaluate existing product management practices and identify opportunities for greater structure, consistency, and scalability.
  • Introduce proven product management frameworks, templates, prioritization models, and governance practices.
  • Establish repeatable processes for roadmapping, backlog management, requirements gathering, prioritization, stakeholder communication, and product measurement.
  • Help define how product value and success are measured and communicated to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Bring established product management best practices while adapting them to the needs and culture of the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional experience in Product Management, preferably within a large or complex enterprise organization.
  • Experience managing multiple products or a portfolio of products, rather than focusing exclusively on a single application.
  • Demonstrated experience owning product roadmaps and backlogs.
  • Experience supporting or managing internally developed, employee-facing, or enterprise business applications.
  • Strong requirements gathering and business analysis capabilities with the ability to translate business needs into actionable development requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing initiatives based on business value, impact, and organizational priorities.
  • Experience partnering closely with software development or engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and post-launch product ownership.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across technical teams, business functions, leadership groups, and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure DevOps or similar product/backlog management tools.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and modern software development environments.
  • Experience establishing or improving product management processes, operating models, governance structures, and prioritization frameworks.
  • Experience defining and measuring product success through business outcomes, adoption, efficiency, or other relevant metrics.
  • AI-forward mindset with an understanding of how AI tools can improve product management, productivity, user experience, or business processes.

What Will Make Someone Successful in This Role

The strongest candidate will bring more than experience maintaining a backlog. We are looking for someone who can think strategically about products while creating the structure necessary to support a growing product organization.

Success in this role will require someone who can:

  • Connect business challenges to meaningful product solutions.
  • Lead roadmap and prioritization conversations with confidence.
  • Clearly articulate the business value behind product investments.
  • Navigate competing priorities across multiple products and stakeholders.
  • Bring proven product management practices from a mature environment and adapt them to a growing organization.
  • Create repeatable frameworks, templates, and governance models rather than simply working within existing processes.
  • Build credibility with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Help move the organization toward a more mature, scalable product management model.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual bonus eligibility.
  • Car allowance.
  • Company unit/equity eligibility.
  • Strong retirement benefit, including an employer contribution of approximately 15% toward retirement regardless of employee contribution level.
  • Company-paid medical insurance
  • Dental and vision insurance options
  • Health Savings Account (HSA), where applicable
  • Company-paid life insurance
  • Accidental death and dismemberment insurance
  • Long-term disability coverage
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

  • Annual performance-based bonus opportunity
